On mail day and random snapshots
If you have been a reader of my blog for a long time already, you now would have known how much I enjoy receiving packages in the mail. I don’t really have the words for it, though. I just know that seeing that red LBC packaging waiting on my bed and the thrill of guessing what’s inside makes me happy. So anyway, three packages arrived in the mail today. Here are photos of what’s inside them! :)
From left to right: NYX round lipstick in Hot pink, Chic Red, Fig and Louisiana
The lipsticks I ordered from NYX Wholesale PH finally arrived today (I ordered them last November 4) I have to be honest though. I am kind of disappointed with them. First was because one tube wasn’t sealed. I opened it and saw moisture around the product. I do not know if this is normal due to our weather (please enlighten me) or it’s because someone might have opened it already. Second was because the lipsticks themselves break so easily. The shades don’t look anything like what they’re supposed to look like (with the exception of Chic Red, that is. It’s the only shade that I was mildly happy with) And I do not know if you notice, but the last two lipsticks aren’t the same size as the first two. They also have a different label. I was really eager for Louisiana and Hot pink too (I am in love with pink lipsticks) but they’re not as worst as Fig. Anyway, I really shouldn’t complain. You really can’t expect much from something that sells for 95 pesos a tube, right? I’m pretty sure I won’t be ordering round lipsticks from them again, though.
Edit: December 22, 2011
I got an e-mail from Grace T., the one who manages NyxWholesale.ph. She explained to me that the round lipsticks arrived as it is, some sealed, some are unsealed, and that they don’t open seals as well (except for big products like palettes to check its quality before ship out) Also, she said that Nyx has several manufacturers around the world and they have slight differences (that explains the different labels and sizes) Another was that as much as she wanted to carefully wrap packages for everyone to prevent instances of melted lipsticks, etc. our weather doesn’t permit perfect outcome all the time.
Thank you, Ms. Grace for enlightening me. Please understand that I am not here to ruin your business. I was just sharing my experience for the sake of my blog and to inform my readers.
To the rest of you guys, please view this post where I mentioned that “…I guess you just have to give them some time to “harden”…” Again, I am in no way targeting to ruin any business. I was only merely expressing my views as a blogger and a consumer based on the products I received. I apologize if I offended anybody with my statements.
Also, regarding my statement “I’m pretty sure I won’t be ordering round lipsticks from them again, though.” I’m going to eat my words because I would definitely repurchase Chic red. Loveliest shade of red ever! :)
Moving on, this pretty thing came in the mail too! I won this from Claire Voix’s giveaway. I am never (I repeat, never) lucky with these things, and I only joined the last minute, so expect my surprise when I saw Adly’s message telling me that I won! I cannot wait to use this. Thank you Adly (and for the birthday greeting as well!)
Most of you know how much of a sucker I am for handwritten notes. So you can just imagine how happy I got when Daphne of FBTL Manila sent me not only a belated happy birthday slash advanced Merry Christmas card, but also pretty items from her shop as well!
This is the cutest tote bag ever. I love the color, the pattern, the shape (they aren’t called Shapely totes for nothing) everything. But what I love the most is that I can bring this with me to school in case I need an emergency bag! And the best part is that you can get this for only 100 pesos each! You should get yours too! Functional, affordable and cute. I love it! :)
And as if that tote bag isn’t enough, these pretty trinkets came in the package as well. I currently have a shortage on rings (I’m currently investing on statement necklaces) and this anchor connector ring is just perfect. Spot the pretty earrings too!
Thank you, Daphne! You are the sweetest seller ever. :)
