Bringing back the basics

Denim and leather would probably be on top of my list of favorite basics (a list which, by the way, started existing just three seconds ago LOL) Incidentally, the combo never fails me just as how a banana + peanut butter + cinnamon sandwich combination (that of which I made and consumed for breakfast) will never ever lose its deliciousness. Speaking of basics, here are some pieces that I think would be perfect for the weather we’re currently having!

See? It’s not that hard to look good and feel comfortable at the same time! This goes the same as when you are wearing a pair of orthaheel shoes. Whenever you are looking for the best footwear, visit http://www.soleprovisions.com and enjoy their large selection of products.

So anyway, this is just a quick post to let you know that I am still alive and kicking amidst the weeklong hiatus. I’ve been working on a series of posts now (especially since I’m now collaboration with a new brand! Hello, Get Laud!) and I hope I can keep it up. Also, I’ve been doing some serious thinking and it involves me moving to a new blog platform. What do you think? Will you guys still visit my blog when I do? (Cue puppy dog eyes)

I hope you’ve all been doing okay! I’ve been sick for the past few days because of our ultra bipolar weather but I’m getting by. Stay safe, dry and healthy! Thank you so much for dropping by! :)

I used to be really afraid of lizards. Some years back, just the sight of them attached to a wall or lazing on the counter top would immediately make me turn in the other direction (no matter how important my agenda was for going there in the first place) or in more extreme cases (like what I consider to be one of my most unfortunate life events) where this certain cold blooded creature actually made contact, resulted to a special kind of scream that can only happen when this such creature falls from the ceiling and into my clothes.

There has been a lot of coming ins and going outs in my life lately (mostly people, sometimes pounds) and although I’m pretty much used to sudden polar transitions (people loving, people leaving) it still never fails to make me feel less and less sure of myself, though only for a time being. They say people get removed from your life for a reason, and although this is perfectly acceptable, I still can’t help but wish that I knew the reason why, only to stop all these self-depreciating questions in my head. To add more confusion into this rather bitter episode, certain shapes have been diligently (or at least, trying to, I really do not know) clearing away spots in the depths of my soul where cobwebs and dust bunnies, throughout the years, collected in.

The things I choose to do now (or don’t) will always be dictated partly by the person I was years ago. So even though I’m not really that afraid of lizards anymore, and that I can safely say that I can face them without my heart beating wildly against my chest, for the time being, I’d still choose to avoid the encounter as much as possible. Stay open, but never let yourself go. Just because you could, doesn’t always mean you should.

On a lighter note, it’s finally the start of the -ber months again! I’m pretty excited for it, partly because the -ber months are full of birthdays for my family (mine being in November) but mostly because of the nearing of my favorite time of the year - Christmas! How about you? What are you excited for? :)
