If grades were based on passivity, I would be on top of the class. I have been told that I’m ‘too nice’ for my own good countless of times in the past, and when I look back at those years I realize that I only succumbed to what others wanted because I needed to avoid one thing - conflict. I am a very non confrontational person and I try to avoid conflicts at all costs, but since no two people see the world in exactly the same way, eventually something will come up and you’ll have no choice but to face whatever the world throws at you. I do not avoid conflicts because I am afraid of the confrontation per se (because I believe it’s important to resolve issues as soon as they happen) It is just that I have this bad habit of saying things I do not mean whenever the situation gets heated up, and I end up hurting myself and others with the repercussions that stemmed from my actions. Some things you just have to let go, I guess, lest you want to lose people in the process. It’s just a matter of deciding which battles are better left alone from those that are worth fighting for.
It may not always be conventional to mix wolves, spikes, floral prints and different shades of denim, but that is the beauty of conflict. After all the damage, things always, always work out in the end. This too shall pass.
How was your day today? I hope you had a good one! Thank you so much for dropping by! :)

People will always want what they do not have. Everyday we are asked to make decisions, which more often that not, almost always favors one thing over the other. In the denim world, however, getting the best of both worlds is as easy as going through the racks of Wrangler’s newest collection, the denim spa. Imagine jeans that makes legs look great while on and continues even after you take them off.

Last April 23, 2013, I attended Wrangler’s Denim spa launch at The Spa in The Fort. I was the first one to arrive (force of habit slash student nurse) and when I got there the crew was still setting up stuff. I would just like to take this time to extend my thanks to the whole Wrangler team though because amidst all of the hustle and bustle, everyone still found the time to talk to me and cater to my needs (Marky, Katee, Nikki, Madam President, Khrizzie and others) So while I was being chatted up by these guys, some of the other bloggers arrived, fellow early birds named Ana and Tracy. There wasn’t anything much to do yet, so we strolled over to the table laden with glorious food!
So anyway, let me now take you through what happened in photos and captions!
First off, we were given an interactive tour of the latest collection. Each den-innovation (lakas makaimbento! Haha!) had a room, complete with huge visuals and themed set-ups. Let me guide you through each one!

Smooth legs comes in dark, sateen indigo, and contains anti-cellulite agents such as algae extracts, retinol and caffeine, which have been proven to lessen the appearance of ‘orange peel’ skin, improve skin texture and tighten pores into tiny nothings. With all of these power agents working together, Smooth legs is a total skin treat in jean form.

Aloe Vera, which comes in a mid-blue finish, benefits from eponym, the popular remedy with anti-inflammatory properties which aids in hydrating, nourishing and soothing sensitive skin. Aloe Vera is widely used in skin care products because of it’s medicinal properties.

Ana and I by the Aloe Juice bar. It’s actually pretty good!

Last but not the least, we have Olive Extract. It comes in a light and summery blue wash, and leaves skin toned thanks to the wonder hydrator squalene. Extracted solely from olives, this super oil is a natural moisturizer. Once absorbed into the skin, it becomes an antioxidant, promotes cell growth and performs as an antibacterial.

I had an extra early tour by the way (Bilang sobrang aga ko dumating! Haha!) and I used that opportunity to ask questions! From what I gathered, the duration of the moisturizing effects of these jeans will last depending on how often you wash them. It’s really cool how the Smooth legs one comes with a free refill of the ingredients embedded on the denim itself too! Talk about convenience!

After this, we were all led into another room where we could try on the jeans. I’m a big fan of dark washed jeans, so I tried on the Smooth legs. These jeans come in two sizes too big, so if you’re say, a 26 like me, size 24 jeans will fit you perfectly. I’ve never worn denims as soft as these, and I instantly felt a cooling effect down the whole length of my legs. The fit was amazing also, and even though I’m not really fond of not ankle hugging jeans, the other features of this piece made up for it.

Of course, a launch wouldn’t be complete without a fashion show! The event was hosted by Karen Pamintuan. Before anything else though, we were first shown a short presentation explaining the technology behind the Denim Spa. The jeans have high-performing skin care ingredients contained in microcapsules embedded in the fabric which activates upon contact (e.g. sitting, standing, walking) Each step you take is equivalent to a treatment for your legs!

And then it was time for the show! I think it’s safe to say that we were all given a pleasant shock once the models showed up. It’s like they came out of nowhere! After the show, I kept asking myself, if I get one of those jeans, will I become as sexy as these models? Probably not (LOL) but I’m pretty sure my legs would be pampered the same way!

And just when you thought you’ve seen enough, here comes more! To cap off the launch, Wrangler together with The Spa treated us to spa treatments of our choice. I don’t think I’ve mentioned that prior to this event, I came from my hospital duty. I couldn’t possibly think of a more perfect way to end my day! I got a honey body polish and it was just amazing! I had to strip down to my birthday suit for this procedure though, but it’s okay since I’ve always been comfortable in my own skin anyway. First, Jocelle scrubbed down my whole body with dead sea salt mixed with jojoba oil. I exfoliate but nothing as thorough as this! After that, I had a hot shower to rinse off the salt. I was then laid down over a sheet of plastic and soon enough the whole of me got slathered with milk and honey. The smell was heavenly! I swear, if I hadn’t known any better, I would have easily taken a bite off myself. I was wrapped in plastic and towels and was given a facial massage after. I was then eased into a jacuzzi for a bubble bath! Then I went in the sauna and took another shower after. And to end everything (as if the previous procedures weren’t enough!) I was given a massage while simultaneously being moisturized by some sweet smelling lotion. The whole thing lasted for an hour. It wasn’t perfect of course (there was no music and I could hear people talking outside) but then again, nothing is. There were certain parts of the treatment where I’m pretty sure I dozed off though, so whatever they lacked was easily forgotten. After the treatment, I can safely say that all the stress I encountered that day rushed out of my body faster than you could say… (Oops! It was so fast you missed it!)

Change outfit! Thank you I am a Fab One for my aztec cropped top!

Wet hair kung wet hair!
