I may not know what my ‘style’ is yet when it comes to dressing up, but all I know is that I was never the girly girl. I find pearls and lace, bows and ruffles appealing but only to a certain extent. I do, however, try to incorporate these into my outfits then just add things that are ‘me’ (‘me’ not being more pearls, lace, bows and ruffles. Haha!) I also have this love-hate relationship with button-up shirts. I do not like anything restraining my neck, so as much as possible I avoid buttoning up all the way. I’d like to think this produces a sexy but not slutty vibe (which I’m all for, by the way!) It’s like my clothes saying, “Hey, I’m still a girl, but I demand to be respected.” This top from Wrangler is a perfect example of that. It’s light and breezy, the color is something you can pair with almost anything and most of all, it’s versatile. Button it up all the way, add a pair of leggings, black pumps, an oversized bag and you’re good to go. Or do it like I did. Open up some buttons, pair it with a high waist skirt, add a necklace and some low heeled shoes. You can also tuck this under shorts, add strappy sandals, a sun hat and you’ve got an instant outfit for the beach! The possibilities are endless! Before I started working with Wrangler, I’ve always thought they were just all about denim, denim and more denim. But as the months passed, I realized that as much as their products cater to the ones with rugged lifestyles, they have pieces that can be worn casually as well. How about you? How would you style this top? :)

Denims are a wardrobe staple for a reason. They can be made simple or complex, dressy or casual, conservative or sexy. That is one of the many reasons why I’ve always been on the lookout for that perfect denim shirt. And found one I did!

If you’re following me on my other social accounts (Twitter, Instagram) you would know that I’ve recently been chosen to be one of Wrangler Philippine’s brand ambassadors. That said, on a certain shopping trip, I laid eyes on this denim shirt I’m wearing above and I knew in my heart that I had to get it right away. I don’t know if you’ll ever believe me, but when I saw the shirt, tons of styling options flashed through my eyes. It was like I experienced some kind of fashion apparition! Serious stuff, you guys.

And I am so glad that I did get it! I meant it when I said that I had to stop myself from pairing my Wrangler denim jacket with every dress I wore, and I think I have to yet again restrain myself from using this denim shirt with everything in my closet. It really is that basic!

Comfort, style and versatility. This shirt has it all. I cannot wait to show you guys how I will style this in the future!

So far I’m halfway finished with all my backlogged posts for 2012. School will resume in a few days too! Let’s see how productive I can get until then!
On another note, my year has been going great. How is yours? :)
